Write a useful agent request

Give an objective, evidence and a review condition.

Updated: Revision: 2026-09-13.11 min read

Define a result

Describe what a successful result looks like: a sourced summary, a scenario table, a document or a proposed workflow. Include the timeframe and constraints that matter.

Attach context

Work in the correct folder and refer to the relevant files, knowledge or data sources. Treat missing data as a question to resolve rather than asking the agent to invent it.

Set review points

Ask for assumptions and evidence to be shown. Changes affecting external systems or business records should follow configured approval and tool policies. An instruction in chat does not widen permissions.
